Homeschool Series – Andrew Wyeth’s Snow Scenes

WEDNESDAYS: JANUARY 10th, 17th, & 24th @ 10-11 am

Wyeth, a realist painter, was considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.  He learned to paint long before he even learned to read, being homeschooled by his father who was a famous artist. Wyeth loved to paint landscapes of his favorite places, after spending much time viewing them.

Students will be creating Wyeth inspired snow scenes, utilizing ink & watercolors. They will also paint a beautiful winter landscape on canvas with acrylic paint. A variety of art media, vocabulary, and technique will be explored.

Tap into your creative energy and develop your artistic skills through a variety of media and approaches. Explore the elements and principles of art, while learning about prominent artists, cultures, and movements throughout history. Each 60 minute class will provide the groundwork for artistic growth and understanding. Each series typically consists of 3 classes. Grades 1-7
