ART & CRAFT PROGRAM 2021: Fall Session 1 *NEW!

Come join local guest artist Ilona to create beautiful art & craft projects in our new Art & Craft Program! Ilona was born in Ukraine, is a freelance artist, and has a master’s degree in art. Learn more about her at

Every week we will have a new exciting craft project and we will explore different mediums! This small group program will be for all school aged students; instructions and challenges will be tailored to different age levels. 6 week sessions will be on Saturday mornings from 10am – 11:30am, with limited enrollment and social distancing in place, at our studio. Per full session fee is $175 for 6 dates. If you are joining late, this class is now prorated.

Session Dates:

9/11/21 – Relief Flower on Marble Background: We will talk about different kinds of clay materials and its properties, practice mixing colors in clay, and will learn and make different shapes. Students will learn how to make a marble looking background and then they will create a relief flower picture on it.

9/18/21- Felt Fabric Pictures: Let’s learn and create small size felt flat pictures using felt and needles. Students will get pre cut pieces of the picture they choose and will learn the correct way of holding and using a felting needle. They will create a picture and mount it on a board.

9/25/21 – Sea Rocks Craft: We will be mixing colors and glitter together and will create colorful sea rocks out of clay. With a special transparent pouring paint will create a sea background for our picture and will place our rocks on it. (This craft will need a time to dry so you will be able to pick it up later)

10/2/21- Marble Painting/Ebru Day 1: On the first day we will learn this painting technique and will practice doing marbling painting and transfer it on paper.

10/9/21- Marbling Painting/Ebru Day 2: We will work on controlling paint stains the way we want. Students work on creating pictures with flowers patterns and will do ebru painting – Rainbow.

10/16/21- Felting Craft Owl: Using felt and tools students will create a small toy – cute owl.

Art in Mind reserves the right to cancel due to low enrollment or emergency situations. We will notify you if this occurs and refund accordingly. 

Due to the limited space in each class, we cannot issue refunds or store credit if you must cancel your registration with less than 14 days notice of the program start date. If you need to cancel more than 14 days prior to your program, we can only issue store credit for 50% of the amount you paid unless we are able to fill your spot in the program.
