Homeschool Art Education Elementary School Level January 2025 Workshop! *NEW*

Foster your child’s love of art, knowledge, and ability with our Homeschool Art Workshops! At Art in Mind we realize how important it is for homeschool parents to give their kids the best possible education they can. Integral to an excellent educational program is the inclusion of fine arts, which has been proven to be essential in so many ways.  The benefits include enhancing motor skills, fostering creativity, learning about history, recognizing cultural differences, and so much more. An education rich in art education encourages individuality, creative thinking, and the appreciation of the differences among others, which will impact one’s future.

Join us for fresh new workshops! Fee is $75 for three hours of in-depth instruction. All supplies included. Please send your student with a drink and an allergy safe snack (ex. gram crackers, pretzels, Cheez-it, goldfish, fruit, or vegetables).

Andrew Wyeth Winter Landscapes: Friday, January 10th, 2025

Andrew Wyeth was an American realism artist who specialized in watercolor and egg tempera paintings. Wyeth’s paintings capture the melancholic and eerie feelings that coincide with the harsh winters of Pennsylvania and Maine, where he spent most of his adult life. This month we will be working with watercolors and acrylic to create our very own Wyeth inspired landscape paintings. By using techniques like dry brushing and monochromatic color schemes, we will emulate Wyeths landscapes. Feel free to bring pictures of winter landscapes that speak to you (national parks, images from movies, or even your own backyard!) to help you create a meaningful piece of art!

Due to the limited space in each class, we cannot issue refunds or store credit if you must cancel your registration with less than 7 days notice of the workshop date. In-person classes cannot be exchanged for take-home kits.
