Plenty of Portraits!
In order to continue building a well-rounded portfolio we will be focusing on the art of portrait making during this session. Portraits can be exciting and diverse which is what we’ll be striving for in the projects we make. We’ll use a variety of media (water color, markers, oil pastels, charcoal) and talk about the history of portraiture to the present.

Getting Folksy Like Heather Galler!
Working as a contemporary American Folk Artist in New York City Heather Galler creates very lively, patterned, colorful artworks. Much of her work is landscapes or portraits varying in scale from small to large murals in public spaces. We’ll be studying this artist and the movements in art that have inspired her work before we make our own versions of vibrant folk landscapes and portraits.

Preschool Homeschool Art: Crazy for Colors!

Crazy for Colors!
We’re going to learn about color in some fun new ways with the little ones this month. There will be projects with color mixing, big bold color combinations and new ways to play and explore with creating artwork!
