Middle/High School Homeschool Art: Art Style Through Still Life

Art Style Through Still Life
Throughout history many great artists have started building their skills by mastering the practice of still life art. In this three part series we will work through all the steps of a still life from sketch to paint, in addition to learning about notable artworks and artists that are in this category. In each class the first half hour will be instruction and the second half hour will be application. We will look at how we can draw from life, then ultimately have the finished piece result in something with your own creative interpretation and style. Each student will take the steps to refine their own artistic eye and fine art skill set. Students should bring a basic sketchbook for notes/sketches.

Elementary Homeschool Art: Storytelling on Ancient Grecian Vases
FRIDAYS: September 14th, 21st, & 28th @ 10-11 am / Grades 1-6 / All Supplies Included
Storytelling on Ancient Grecian Vases
In this 3 week session we will learn about the art and significance of ancient Grecian Vases (urns). We will use elements of art such as sculpture, design, function, storytelling, paint, form, color, line, texture, history and, cultural context/ significance. We will explore both 3D (sculpture) and 2D (drawing/ painting) interpretations of this subject throughout this series. In this class there will be plenty of hands on creating in addition to learning art elements and vocabulary relating to the topic which will end in a quiz.

Preschool Homeschool Art: Introducing Fine Arts
FRIDAYS: September 14th, 21st & 28th @ 11-11:30 am / Ages 4-6 / All Supplies Included
Students will be introduced to technique, media, and appreciation of the fine arts. Fine motor skills and artistic skills will be developed and enhanced.
