2019–2020 HOMESCHOOL ART PROGRAM

JANUARY: PORTRAITURE & LIGHTING/REMBRANDT

Our January Homeschool Art program will focus on the techniques involved in drawing people and capturing lighting. We will examine works by Rembrandt.

Fridays (Class): 1/10/20, 1/17/20, 1/24/20

We’re switching up the schedule this year! Since littles are often up early (too early sometimes, ha!) and teenagers often like to sleep in, we are reversing our class order. Plus, we’re excited to try an additional block of OPEN ART time twice a month just for homeschoolers! Our new schedule:

FRIDAYS—CLASSES (3x/month)

9:30am–10am: Preschool  /  10:15–11:15: Elementary School / 11:30–12:30: Middle and High School

PRESCHOOL:

We love to draw and paint. Let’s learn to add more details to our work! Children will paint a self portrait. Ages 4-6 / All Supplies Included / 9:30 am – 10:00 am

ELEMENTARY: Students will learn useful tips and techniques to use when drawing and painting people, especially in capturing light and shade. Grades 1-6 / All Supplies Included / 10:15 am – 11:15 am

MIDDLE/HIGH: We will study how light, shade, and detail can be used to create emotion in our artwork, and will work on accurate representation of people.  Grades 7 & up / All Supplies Included / 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

NEW! $10 Tuesdays: Open Studio Time for Homeschoolers

Our $10 Tuesdays Homeschool Art open art block will provide extra time for students to work on projects and for additional one-on-one instruction. $10 per one hour of instruction. Please register 24 hours in advance.
