Middle/High School Homeschool Art: Practicing Printmaking

Practicing Printmaking
In this unit we’ll be building printmaking skills and studying some great artists who are known for their
work in printmaking (M.C. Escher, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein- to name a few). We will learn about
the importance of printmaking in the context of art history and the accessibility of making multiple
copies of a design more quickly than ever before. Printmaking also offers a unique way to design and
use the fundamental art elements and by nature requires practice through repetition.

Elementary Homeschool Art: Inspired by Printmaking Artists

Inspired by Printmaking Artists
In this study we will be using printmaking as a way to find a new understanding of the principles of art (rhythm, balance, emphasis, proportion, gradation, harmony, variety, movement). We will explore the works of the famous artists M.C. Escher and Andy Warhol. We will learn about their graphic art designs, lithographs, and woodcut engravings – which will inspire our class projects.

Preschool Homeschool Art: Stamps & Prints
FRIDAYS: January 11th, 18th & 25th @ 11:00-11:30 am / Ages 4-6 / All Supplies Included
Stamps and Prints
During this unit we will be learning how to make our own stamps and using them to make patterned designs! We’ll learn about mirror images (reverse images) and pattern making.
