Open Art Studio August! Special: Choose a featured painting for $18
Open Studio typically runs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday in the summer. It is a drop-in time for all ages that runs from 11-3pm, and projects typically take an hour. See our calendar page to confirm dates.
Special during Open Art Studio this month: Paint one of the featured CANVAS PAINTINGS for only $18! All other paintings $24. All ages. On Fridays seniors paint any painting for $18.
Leave your busy schedules and the stresses of the world at the door as you enter our peaceful studio atmosphere. No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome! Canvas painting is a favorite at our studio. You can design something of your own, or we have a huge variety of paintings to pick from, and we can pre-sketch images on the canvas for you! Each month we feature 4 special paintings that can save you money. You may alternatively choose to paint your own creation on wood, slate, tile, or glass. We also have various art media for those who just want to work with paper, and we have a few crafty projects as well.
Open Art Studio is a drop-in time that costs $24 per 1 hour session, which includes an 11″ x 14″ canvas. You may choose other surfaces for a small additional supply fee. If a project takes more than an hour you will be charged a $12 finish-up fee. During Open Art hours, you may choose to paint one of the featured pre-sketched canvas specials for just $18 (11″ x 14″ canvas). There is no additional studio fee for the specials unless you paint into a second hour. On Thursdays seniors paint any painting for for $18 (11″ x 14″ canvas).
You will receive guidance to inspire ideas and to enhance your unique project, but your project is your own creation. Open Art Studio is not a fully instructed class, though we are here to guide you and to provide basic art instruction, samples, ideas, as well as various stencils/tracers to help ensure your success. Please keep in mind that you will be working independently as we come around the room to assist.
No preregistration is necessary and all ages are welcome. Please check calendar for Open Art hours, as sometimes we have birthday parties and other events.
