Drop in during December Open Studio hours to create beautiful gifts of canvas painting, board art, ornament making, light-up wine bottles, wine glasses, slate painting, beading, and more!!
Special Pricing – Pay a studio fee of only $10 for the first hour* plus a project fee ranging from $1-$15 per piece! Featured Canvas Specials = $14 total. *If you are staying longer than an hour you will be charged a studio finish up fee of $5 for each hour after.
*SENIORS PAINT FOR $12 ON THURSDAYS! (9″ X 12″ canvases)
*Open Art Studio is not a fully instructed class, though we are here to guide you and to provide basic art instruction, samples, ideas, as well as various stencils/tracers to help ensure your success. Please keep in mind that you will be working independently as we come around the room to assist.
No preregistration is necessary and all ages are welcome. Please check calendar for Open Art hours, as sometimes we have birthday parties and other events.
Expressive Open Art Studio:
Leave your busy schedules and the stresses of the world at the door as you enter our peaceful studio atmosphere. There is something to do for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience. Guidance, ideas, and a large assortment of media is available to you as you go through our three steps:
1. Choose Your Surface:
Paper, canvas, glass, wood, air dry clay, slate, tiles, etc.
2. Choose Your Medium:
Acrylic, watercolor, enamels, pastel, marker, charcoal, etc.
3. Express Yourself By Creating a Personal Masterpiece!
No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome. You will receive guidance to inspire ideas and to enhance your unique project, but your project is your own creation*. During Open Studio at Art in Mind, we want artists to learn to feel confident in using their own imagination and their creative ability without specific instruction and judgment. This will build confidence and will help one to express creatively. We also understand that a project is never finished until you feel that it is; that is why our open studio time is purchased in sessions, so you can leave your work and come back to finish it at another time.
