Drop in during Open Studio hours to create beautiful gifts of canvas painting, canvas bags, tea towels, tie dye masks, snow globes, wood painting, ornament making, light-up wine bottles/jars, sock snowmen, gnomes, wine glasses, slate painting, and so much more!!
Special Pricing – Pay a studio fee of only $12 for the first hour* plus a project fee ranging from $4-$22 per piece! Featured Canvas Specials = $16 total. *If you are staying longer than an hour you will be charged a studio finish up fee of $10 for an additional hour.
Leave your busy schedules and the stresses of the world at the door as you enter our peaceful studio atmosphere. No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome! Canvas painting is a favorite at our studio. You can design something of your own, or we have a huge variety of paintings to pick from, and we can pre-sketch images on the canvas for you! Each month we feature 4 special paintings that can save you money if you choose to paint one of them. You may alternatively choose to paint your own creation on wood, slate, tile, or glass. We also have various art media for those who just want to work with paper, and we have a few crafty projects as well.
You will receive guidance to inspire ideas and to enhance your unique project, but your project is your own creation. During Open Studio at Art in Mind, we want artists to learn to feel confident in using their own imagination and their creative ability without step-by-step instruction or judgment. This will build confidence and will help one to express creatively. We are here to guide you and to provide basic art instruction, samples, ideas, as well as various stencils/tracers to help ensure your success. Please keep in mind that you will be working independently as we come around the room to assist.
No preregistration is necessary and all ages are welcome. Please check calendar for Open Art hours, as sometimes we have birthday parties and other events.
